Lake Tahoe

So here are our pictures (thanks to my sister because I forgot my camera) of our trip to Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately Nate was only able to be there with us for one night, but we still had a great time. We went to Incline Village where my family went every year when we were little. It brought back some great memories and we had a great time being there with family. The weather was clear the whole time, but quite crisp. We went to the beach and hung out, went on many nature hikes, threw pine cones into the creek, I actually read a book, and pigged out on way too much junk food. Ahh the classic memories of Tahoe.

Thank goodness for Grandma and her playing with the kids so I could park it on the blanket. She told them she would show them where the creek came into the lake.
We looked over at Kali while we were eating dinner and this is the site we saw. I guess I need to teach my kids better table manners. Then my sister tried to take a picture and Kali would just keep saying, "Cheese".
This was the chocolate mousse I tried to make using a blender instead of a beater. You always have to improvise when staying in condos. Bristol exact comment was, "well it is more of a chocolate drink". She posed all on her own for this photo.
Throwing rocks into the lake.

Ahh the view. While we were going for a walk we were reading the signs they had posted about the area. Bristol was pretending to read a sign and said," The waves came all the way from the ocean, came all the way here and to my heart".Bristol started chasing away the seagull and then when Bristol went for walk with Grandma, Kali took over the job.Playing in the sand.
Kali was not wanting this picture taken and Bristol was a little too excited. She actually ended up posing for my mom on the rock all by herself.
Kali was obsessed with climbing over the rocks. She wouldn't stop. She would even try with out me holding on to her. I turned my head for a second and I found her face down in the dirt sandwiched betweent two rocks. I helped her up and she was off to the next rock. The park at the beach by the condo.
Kali loved climbing all over and going down all the slides by herself. She is quite the daredevil and nothing scares her.
Bristol and Grandpa. I love Bristol's grin in this picture.

We had a great time and were sad that Nate only got spend a little bit of time there, but were glad we could visit before we head out to the other side of the country.

The Vallejo Bobsled Team

So this is what happens when Nate is watching the girls so I can vacuum the house. He came back after he had taken them down the hill twice and told me about it (partly because he thought I would freak out and not want him to do it). Then we decided to take them again so we could get it filmed. Nate said after the first time he went down and they got to the bottom of the hill, Kali yelled "Mmaaa" (translated to MORE!).

Now I don't know why I never thought of doing this. I guess that is why there are dads.

Birthday Celebrations

So our first celebrations of my birthday were at my parent's house where we also celebrated my sister and dad's birthday. (Michelle we celebrated yours too, in spirit) See out of the six people in my family, four of us have birthday's in March: the 2nd, 17th, 22nd, and 25th. So instead of a bunch of parties, why not do one get together.

We went miniature golfing for the activity and then had a great dinner and some cakes. It was great celebrating with family.

A few days later I had to go back down to my parents' house to take Bristol to a dentist down there for the second time. (She had fallen and hit her tooth and it was turning gray). Well the nice thing about coming down again is that we had planned that Bristol was going to stay down at my parents for a few extra days and I was going to come home with Kali. Bristol was so excited to stay all by herself and Kali loved having all of the toys to herself at home. Well my parents brought Bristol back up to our house on the 22nd which is my birthday and we were able to celebrate together. My mom had talked Bristol into coming back home by helping her get my party ready for my birthday. Bristol was so excited, she picked out party hats, balloons, presents, and helped my mom with the cake. It was so great to see how excited she was.One of my presents that Bristol picked out for me all by herself. However, she has now taken it over and sleeps with it just about every night.
I think Kali thought our singing was subpar.Birthday dinner!

Nature Hunt

So the beginning of March we took the girls out for what we were calling a nature hike. However, Bristol decided to start calling it a "nature hunt". We enjoyed the great outdoors by our house and had a picnic lunch.
It was a little windy and chilly.

Bristol was trying to get warm.

Update soon

So sorry that this last month there has been a drought of posts on the Moore Blog. I have many pictures that are waiting to be posted. I am however, lacking the time to sit and post. March is always a busy month. We have managed to go to the dentist twice with Bristol since she fell on her tooth and is has subsequently turned gray and is dying. We celebrated the many March birthdays in my family as well as Nate's, including my own. I was not the happiest about turning 27 because I felt as though I am now definitely in my late twenties and I am not sure if I am ready to say goodbye to them. We also went to Lake Tahoe and visited my parents in our annual condo trip. We used to go there each year when we were growing up and so it was great to take my kids to share the same experience. Oh and we also went to the zoo. Not to mention we did all of this while Nate was working in the E.R. with a sporadic work schedule that often had him working through the night and trying to sleep during the day (which was not fun to try to keep the kids quite as to not wake him). However, the next two to three months will be even busier with trips to Utah, Ohio, Disneyland, and of course packing up to move. I hope that I will be able to post more regularly but if there seems to be another drought please know that pictures will be coming.
