We love our dad!

We miss him terribly too. He has now been gone for two and a half weeks and we only have a week and a half left. I (well we) can't wait until September 19th when he will return to us. Sunday was probably my I just am losing it and going to break day, appropriately I assume since it was the halfway mark. However, when your two year old almost three decides for two days in a row to wake up one night 6 times and then the next night wake up three times and both days refuses to take a nap, you would probably go insane too. Also in retaliation while she had to lay in her bed even if she wasn't sleeping, she decided to poop her diaper and stick her hands in the side and paint the bed with poo. So yes I had reached my limit and called Nate sobbing. However, that only made it worse because Kali was awake by this time and with me crying she started balling herself. She wouldn't stop until I stopped. However, I guess I just needed a good cry because after that I was able to handle the rest of the day and the subsequent days as well. Sometimes though I do think I might literally pull my hair out.

These pictures are of the night before Nate left.

I want to do makeup

So while I was feeding Kali some breakfast Bristol got into my makeup bag and went to town. Luckily her makeup of choice today was some concealer stuff that was green supposedly would counteract the red on your face. Well luckily I never used it because I just felt like I looked green. Well she came into the kitchen, with my mascara in her hand covered with the green goop. She needed my assistance to open the mascara since her hands were too slippery. I am just grateful her hands were too slippery. I just started laughing the second I saw her. I also eventually told her that she could not go into my makeup with out me and put it on herself. However, it did provide me with some entertainment. Luckily she was the thing that was mostly green, but our bathroom sink also took a hit. I was just happy that she didn't go to my bed or the couch. Sorry I know that this picture is blurry but without the flash you could see the color of the green better.

Happy Anniversary

Saturday was our 5 year anniversary. It seems crazy that it has already been five years. With Nate leaving the next day and many other factors we had a pretty simple celebration. We rented a movie, bought some yummy food to have picnic style while we watched the movie, and stayed home. We spent the earlier part of the day as a family since Nate would leave us the next day for a month. Happy Anniversary! I love you!We tried to remember what we did the previous anniversaries and we do not have much recollection. Obviously we haven't been able to do anything spectacular. We are hoping that one day, in hopefully the not too distant future, we can take an overnight trip together or something.

Some Fun in the Sun

This was just some good ol' fashion fun in the backyard while Nate was home the last couple of weeks. We set up our trusty old blow up pool and the kids splashed and played in it for a couple of hours.

Bristol loves climbing on the railing in the backyard. She usually then climbs to the other side where there is an actual several foot drop off.
Kali getting her lunch. She loves her mealtimes.

And He's Off

So Nate is off again. It was so nice having him home for two weeks. He is now off to Denver for four weeks. We are going to miss him terribly and I am not sure how I am going to survive, but somehow I guess we will. I have been praying that the time will just go by quickly. Pictures will be coming soon. I just have to download them to the computer and don't have enough time right now to do that. So hopefully later today or tomorrow.

Pictures of Kali

A few pictures of my sweet little baby. She is getting around every where these days. She scoots along on her bum while moving her legs from one side to the other. She is getting faster, but I think she will end up crawling normally. She loves that she can follow Bristol around better.Kali at 9 months.
Fourth of July
Just a day I thought she looked super cute.
At the beach last week. She enjoyed trying to eat the sand. I finally gave up trying to stop her and then she stopped on her own. I guess it wasn't as fun and a game anymore.
She got into all the kids juice boxes and pulled the straws out. Bristol is having to learn how to put things she doesn't want Kali to get into on the table or some where out of reach.

Pictures of Bristol

I thought since we haven't done anything really spectacular lately I thought I would just put some pictures of the girls lately. This is how Bristol wakes up everyday with her hair all matted.
Bristol wearing her princess backpack. I think that she could fit in the backpack.
At the beach last week with her cousins.
She loves being naked. She put my shoes on and her apron. I thought it looked hilarious.
