Easter Day Fun

So I know we are way over due for our Easter pictures, but better late than never right. We had a pretty relaxing day. The girls woke up to Easter baskets at the table with lots of little presents. We then went to the neighborhood playground and Nate hid the Easter eggs. The girls loved running around the playground looking for their eggs they decorated. Later in the day one of the doctors Nate works with had all the residents over and some other people for Easter dinner. It was all really delicious and they gave our kids HUGE Easter baskets full of candy. I mean a TON of candy. All in all though it was a great day.Enjoying their Easter baskets.

Finally another post

So here is an update of the last several weeks again. I promise one day I will get back into the swing of things.

Kali is really into getting herself dressed these days. She will put on many different clothes throughout the day. They are always Bristol's clothes however, because her drawers are the top ones in the dresser and she can't reach them. This particular day she even put her own socks and shoes on.

Nate did a 5K run on April 1st.
There was a mile family walk/run before the 5K so we walked it as a family and then the girls got ribbons at the end. Which was perfect because Bristol kept talking about how she was hoping there was a trophy.
The start of the race.
Nate coming in at the final stretch.
After the race and headed to dinner.

A Month in Review

So I guess I haven't been doing so well at posting any pictures, but to be truthfully honest we have not had much of anything noteworthy going on. I am happy to report that the snow all melted a few weeks ago and we have been enjoying weather in the 50's and 60's. It did snow a little the other night but melted that day. We took one weekend to plant a small garden and clean up some stuff outside. Other than that here are a few pictures of a few other things we
have been up to.

At the very end of February they had a night out for medical residents and their families. It was a way for the Dayton Medical area to show their appreciation for medical residents. They paid for bowling for the whole family and $20 worth of food. It was the girl's first time bowling. They enjoyed it, and it was funny to watch the ball go down at about 1 mile per hour.
I think Bristol's face in this picture is hilarious, how could I leave it out.
Kali liked to run over to the arcade games. She often could be found holding both guns in her hands like this. Too funny!
I bowled horribly, but I am blaming it on the baby in my tummy. Plus here is a picture to prove that yes I am actually pregnant. Nate was the photographer this night and so there are no pictures of him to document that he was there.

The mall here has several free events for kids and moms. One Saturday they had a ballet performance and they gave all the kids tutus, tiaras, and wands. It was a perfect activity for a rainy Saturday.
Bristol and Kali with their friend Samantha.
Watching the ballet dancers.

On March 22nd I celebrated my 28th birthday. It was a nice relaxing day. Nate worked 24 hours the day before so he was off at 7 in the morning on my birthday. We were able to hang out all day and even go out to dinner with just the two of us (thanks to my friend Dora). We then came home and had some cake and ice cream. I decided this year instead having a big cake for just the four of us and have me eat most of it myself, we would opt for a big cupcake to share instead.
I think Bristol is just as excited as me.
My favorite is that we had Bristol take this picture for us. She did a pretty good job.

We went to one of our favorite parks here in Ohio. There are tons of gardens and trails to walk on. The girls love to look for fish and explore. It was a little chilly but we enjoyed it, too bad Nate had to work.
Kali and Bristol laying on the grass soaking up some rays.
Bristol is looking for fish and turtles in the water. She loves getting right up to the edge. However, it makes me nervous that she is going to fall in and I will have to follow after.

The last few weeks

The last several weeks it has been snowing quite a bit here for us. We would get one storm through and then another and another. Needless to say a couple Saturdays ago we thought we should take the opportunity and go sledding. Luckily our good friends have sleds because we don't and they were nice enough to let us come along with their family. I took Kali down the hill once and we ended up crashing at the bottom. She didn't want to go again after that. She is not a snow bunny like Bristol. I think Bristol takes after Nate with the love of the snow and Kali is more like me. She loves the water and not having to wear shoes or socks (she takes them off constantly during the day, even in the car).

Kali sizing up the snow and thinking I can't move in all of these clothes.

Bristol and Nate heading back up the hill.
Getting ready for another go down the hill.
Bristol coming down the hill with her friend Samantha. Samantha is in front and Bristol is behind her.
I like to think Kali is watching Bristol riding down the hill thinking, "why is this fun?".

Our backyard
My potted plants. I love how you can see the amount of snow on them. However, it was still snowing so it actually got higher.

Just for kicks
So what do you do when you are stuck inside all day because of all the snow? You get naked and ride your rocking horse. I thought Nate's family would especially appreciate this photo with the whole "barenaked cowgirl".

New Bed

Sorry no new pictures for this post. I have to download some off my camera, but am too lazy to right now. So I just thought I would update you with our newest information.

So Kali is officially out of a crib. I decided once we got back from CA to leave her in a bed and not go back to a crib. She slept in a bed in CA and did great. Well she has continued to do great, but the only problem I have now is Bristol and Kali like to wake each other up in the morning if they get up before the other one. It could be worse I guess. So there was a 50% off sale of mattresses today, since it was President's Day, so we went and got Kali a new big girl mattress. She had been just sleeping on her crib mattress on the floor. She always tries to lay in Bristol's bed (which is a twin mattress) so I think she will love her new big girl bed. Now I just have to go to the stores merchandise pick up site to get it, which will not be today because once again it it snowing. Hopefully tomorrow we will have it all set up in her room. Now we just need to get our kids bed frames or bunk beds or something to put the mattresses on. One day at a time I guess. For now the floor will have to do.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day everybody!

It's a Girl!

So this is the only picture so far that we have scanned. We have a few others but I will hopefully get them loaded soon. She is quite a mover so the pictures were a little fuzzy. Everything looks healthy so far and the due date is still June 19th. We are excited but amazed at the same time that we are having another girl. I kept thinking this one was a boy.
We are just following in my parents footsteps with having all girls I guess. We have this theory now in our family that we swear we don't mix up the sexes. My parents had four girls, my sister has three boys, and now we will have three girls. No intermixing of the two. Pretty crazy now it is next up to my sister Michelle, who has one boy so far, to see if she will have a girl next and break the cycle that seems to be the rest of our destiny. It was kind of crazy to see the baby and really have it set in that before I know it she will be joining our family out of the protection of my belly.
Other than this big news we are all doing great. Kali is definitely in her terrible two's full force. I am going a little insane. Bristol loves school and is having fun learning things and playing with friends. We are surviving the winter out here and (knock on wood) haven't thought that it is as bad as we were expecting. It hardly snows, so far at least, but we do have some bitter cold days every now and then. I will let you know in a month if I still feel the same way about the weather.

Hope everyone else out there is doing well.

Were are finally alive...

So I know that I haven't posted in nearly a month, however we had a great Christmas and five days later the girls and I flew out to California to spend some time with my family. Flying in a plane for about 7 hours total and having a three hour layover on the way out made it feel like one of the longest days of my life. From different circumstances that I encountered I at different points thought I might just start crying. However, I was able to hold it together and we finally made it out. We had a great time seeing all of the family, we only wished that Nate could be there too. Actually Bristol at one point right before we were going to come home said, "Mom I really miss Daddy, but when I am at home I really miss Grandma and Grandpa". What a dilemma. So thanks to my sister Michelle she took some pictures of our outings. I brought my camera to CA but am notoriously bad with remembering to bring it with me and take pictures.

Bristol and Asher, we are not quite sure why she wanted to look like she was eating his head.
Good ol' West Valley.

Feeding the chickens. There is a house by my parents that has chickens in their backyard. Well there are several holes in the fence where you can feed them (don't worry we have asked the owner if it ok if we fed them). So it has been a tradition for a little while to bring bread on the walk and feed the chickens, Bristol refers to it as the "Chicken Walk". The following five pictures are Kali's take on feeding the chickens.
One for you.
One for me.
One for you.
One for me.
"What am I doing something wrong?" I am just glad that the bread wasn't moldy.

Helping make breakfast one morning.
Asher, Grandma, and Bristol.
The three musketeers. They all loved paling around together. Kali loved telling Asher that he was making a mess or to tell him what to do. Over all though they loved having each other to play with.
Bristol with some of her boys. Look at the love in her eyes as she looks at Collin her cousin.
Kali and Aunt Lisa having a serious talk.
We were there for my mom's birthday on the first of January.
Kali emptied all of the toys out of the toy box to sit in it.
On a bridge at Rancho San Antonio. I love this park.
The famous tree that they must climb in each time we go there for a walk. We have so many pictures in this tree through out the years.
Blake, Grandma, and Bristol catching up on our walk. They went on a separate path.
Some sisterly love in their new clothes that Grandma got them.
