What do you get when you add an overly exited baby who scoots on her bum instead of crawls on all fours, hardwood floor, and a cheek bone?
Yep a big shiner.
Kali was scooting on her bum at a play group and got really excited about something and scooted herself all the way in the air and over her legs that were out in front of her (this was not the first time it happened). Well unfortunately this time she hit her cheek bone on the wood floor and it turned into an immediate goose egg and bruise on her cheek. Later during the day it spread to under her eye. The bruise now is turning more green. I have felt a little weird going out in public hoping that no one thinks that I am an abusive parent or anything.

What are you doing to my poor baby? No really though, thanks for being such a great with, keeping our kids in line and all...I will be home soon. I can't wait.
I LOVE the shiner...did I ever tell you about the time I fell off the stage at church and got a black eye? You should ask my mom about it...and the two times my arm somehow got pulled out of the socket? Childhood is so dangerous!

Poor little Kali. But, she is still adorable even with a black eye.
