This Weekend

So this weekend we went down to my parents house. We had an eventful time from carving pumpkins at my dad's fire station with the fire fighters, then later going to my parents Halloween party (I thought I would like to get the most out of their costumes this year as possible), family picture time at the park, and last but not least Kali's official birthday party.

This face is one Bristol likes to give often these days.
Kali was not interested in carving the pumpkins she just liked eating the pumpkin pieces that were discarded from the carvings.
My sister had the idea of them sitting on the back of the truck. Looks pretty cute.
With my dad and Amy the other firefighter.

Halloween time! Bristol's costume only cost me two dollars to make. I did have to buy the tights for $6, but I figure she can wear them through out the year. Kali is wearing Bristol's costume from last year. I told Nate I felt bad that she gets the repeat costumes. Nate thinks I am crazy.
We went out Saturday morning to a park by my parent's house to get our annual family picture taken. Luckily I have snaked my mom into taking our picture for the last three years. I am not sure what I will do next year. Well this was a little monkeying around that the kids did before the picture.
Kali's birthday. Just ignore her cousin Collin next to her picking his nose.
The cake I made for Kali. For some reason we started calling her Kali Bug from when she was little and I started making her things with ladybugs, like: her hooded bath towel and a shirt. So I thought it would be appropriate to carry out the theme and have a ladybug cake.

I'm a Bella! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!
Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!

You are observant, diplomatic and often aim to please. You are unaware of your
attractiveness and despite being uncomfortable with any form of attention, people enjoy your company. You can be impatient, stubborn and headstrong, but you are true to your word and mature for your age, often taking care of your family and enjoying a good book over chatting with girlfriends on the phone.

So when I first go the result I wasn't sure that I agreed, but there is definitely some similarity in the results. I do aim to please, but am also impatient, stubborn, and headstrong (just ask my husband). Also I totally dislike the phone. I am not generally a talker on the phone. I will talk, but I usually prefer shorter conversations. Oh and I especially don't enjoy calling someone for something. So although I may have disagreed at first I must admit I am Bella.

Lora you know you want to do this quiz. The website has lots of other cool Twilight stuff.

Happy Birthday Kali!

Today is Kali's one year old birthday. The year has gone so fast and I can't believe that it has been a whole year since she has blessed us with her presence in this world. Here are a few pictures of Kali through the year.

A Few Pictures From The Summer

Here are a few pictures that we never posted from this summer. I am already starting to miss the summer weather. It probably doesn't help that this summer never got too hot. It was a pretty mild summer so I didn't get sick of the hot weather.Bristol playing around in Kali's cradle that I had been meaning to pack away for some time.
There is nothing like escaping a heat wave like spending time at the beach.
Fourth of July at Donner Lake by Lake Tahoe. Bristol was showing a little cheek.
The first time our house was toilet papered by the young men from church. The second time was when Nate was gone for two weeks. I told the young men that they had to give me a break and make sure that Nate was home if they were going to T.P. our house again.
At the beach with some friends.
The smokey sky. This picture was taken in the middle of the day in the end of June. It was when there were all of the forest fires everywhere. It was pretty smokey out for weeks.
I swear it is the hardest thing to get me to have Bristol keep her clothes on.
Bristol reading Cinderella to Kali. However you must beware, there is no touching of the book allowed. If you do this is the result:
One little baby that is totally oblivious to what is going on and a pouting older sister.
Our craft project. Bristol saw some "happy trees" in a magazine and wanted to make some for our trees. So we finally got around to it. She helped me make them out of clay and then she pretty much painted them by herself (with only a little assistance from me).

AHHH Summer. We can't wait until next year.

Conference Weekend

So not only were we blessed to here from the many great leaders of our church, but we have also been blessed by two crazy kids who are entertaining themselves (in someways). This is the result I suppose.

Our family room did not have a single toy out on the floor and the couch cushions were all still in place. Bristol and Kali teamed up together to bring you what you are about to see.

Hopefully I will be able to load a video of Bristol tonight before she got into the bath. Unfortunately, the height of the performance was right before I got the camera on. Oh and the picture is blurry because it had some fingerprints on the lens. However, it is still quite comical.

What we have been up to lately

So these are a few pictures of everyday life in the Moore household.

Bristol loves putting on interesting things and outfits all by herself. Here are a couple of them she has thought up lately.
Make sure you look at her feet in this picture.

Keeping busy while Bristol is taking a nap still in the afternoon. She enjoys pulling out all of the dvd cases from the box rather than watching any of them.
I have discovered lately that I hardly exist in pictures with our family. In the last year there are probably only a handful of pictures of me. So it is my goal to try to be in more pictures with the family (even if I have to take them myself).
I was doing the dishes the other morning and looked up at the screen and saw the this praying mantis. Bristol then ran to her room and pulled out this book. Which then she said, "Look I found it"
I was quite surprised by her memory (even though at this point I really shouldn't be).
Now this was just the other night. Bristol is a picker of scabs and dead flaky skin on the feet just like Nate. So the other night she asked Nate if she could get his "skins". She was in pure joy, especially if she picked something that would make Nate say ouch. She would just laugh. Pretty nasty if you ask me.
This was last Saturday before we went to the Jelly Belly Factory.

The many faces of Kali

Sorry for all of those that read my family's blog too. These pictures will be a repeat, but for all of those who only see this blog:

Kali loves making faces. She is into being the class clown sometimes (she definitely gets this trait from her father). She loves doing this by making faces all the time. Here are a few of her funny faces that I have managed to capture on camera.

Hope you all enjoy.

Ok so some of these are just cute, but I thought I would add them.
